Instead of buying a wedding guest list book of which only the first page will be filled, I am making my own sheet for guests to sign and I will put this page in my wedding photo album later. My question: If I already know all my guest’s addresses, should I ask for them again beside their names as is tradition in guest list books? or can I just ask for them to sign their names on the lines?

Hardly anyone writes their addresses in, most guest books I’ve seen they use that section for their congratulations and a tidbit of advice or a funny saying or something….
I would just label the page in 3 columns
Name, Relationship to Couple, Comments/Well Wishes for Couple
I only add "Relationship to Couple" because in 40 or 50 years if you make it that long and look back you may forget who some people are, who are not in your life anymore…

I always thought it was pointless to ask for the addresses. They do this so that whatever presents they bring to the wedding, you can send a thank you. But you obviously have their addresses being that you’ve sent them invites. Good luck & Congrats!

Make your own little page for them to write on. You can label the colloms ‘name’ and ‘best wishes’
something like that. its your wedding and do what’s appropriate for your wedding.
with smaller weddings, you have more freedom of what you want.
